Pressure Sand Filters, Activated Carbon Filters & Iron Removal Filters for industrial water pretreatment. Manufacturing, installation & AMC across India. Protects RO membranes, softener resin & boilers from TSS, chlorine & iron.
Before water reaches an RO membrane, a softener resin bed, or a boiler, it usually needs to pass through mechanical and adsorptive filtration to remove suspended solids, turbidity, organic matter, chlorine, and dissolved iron — all of which can foul or damage downstream equipment if left untreated.
Most industrial water systems need more than one filtration stage working together, and we design pretreatment trains that combine sand filtration, carbon filtration, and iron removal into a coordinated system sized for consistent flow and backwash scheduling.

We design coordinated system sized for consistent flow and backwash scheduling, rather than selling disconnected components that don't work well together.

Dark carbon media visible through sight glass, teal accent piping. Carbon volume sized for adequate dechlorination contact time.
Backwash frequency depends on raw water turbidity and flow rate, typically daily to few times per week.
Q: Why is a pressure sand filter needed before an RO plant?A: A pressure sand filter removes suspended solids and turbidity that would otherwise clog or foul the RO membrane, extending membrane life and maintaining consistent treated water output.
Q: What does an activated carbon filter remove that a sand filter doesn't?A: An activated carbon filter adsorbs dissolved chlorine, organic compounds and odour-causing substances, none of which are removed by a sand filter, which only removes suspended particles and turbidity.
Q: How do I know if I need an iron removal filter?A: If borewell water shows orange-brown staining on surfaces, a metallic taste or odour, or a lab report showing elevated dissolved iron, an iron removal filter is typically needed ahead of other treatment stages.
Q: How often do pressure sand filters need backwashing?A: Backwash frequency depends on raw water turbidity and flow rate, typically ranging from daily to a few times per week; automatic backwash valves can be set to trigger based on a timer or pressure differential.
Q: Can these filters be added to an existing water treatment system?A: Yes, pressure sand filters, activated carbon filters and iron removal filters are commonly retrofitted ahead of an existing RO, softening or DM plant to improve performance and extend the life of that downstream equipment.
