🛡️ FIRST LINE OF DEFENCE

Why Filtration is Non-Negotiable Before RO

Before water reaches an RO membrane, a softener resin bed, or a boiler, it usually needs to pass through mechanical and adsorptive filtration to remove suspended solids, turbidity, organic matter, chlorine, and dissolved iron — all of which can foul or damage downstream equipment if left untreated.

🏜️
Pressure Sand Filter — Mechanical FiltrationOur Pressure Sand Filters use graded sand and gravel media inside an FRP or mild-steel pressure vessel to remove suspended solids and turbidity from borewell, river, or municipal water, typically achieving significant reduction in Total Suspended Solids before water proceeds to finer treatment stages.
TSS ↓ 90%
⚫
Activated Carbon Filter — Chemical Protection for ROActivated Carbon Filters use activated carbon media to adsorb chlorine, organic compounds, and taste/odour-causing substances — a critical step ahead of any RO membrane, since residual chlorine will degrade thin-film composite RO membranes over time.
Cl₂ = 0 ppm
🧲
Iron Removal Filter — For North & East India BorewellsIn regions where borewell water carries dissolved iron — common across large parts of North and East India — untreated iron causes staining, fouls downstream resin and membranes. Our filters use aeration or oxidation followed by specialized media to convert dissolved iron into filterable form.
Fe < 0.3 ppm
♻️ MEDIA LIFE & INTEGRATED TRAIN

Integrated Pretreatment Trains

Most industrial water systems need more than one filtration stage working together, and we design pretreatment trains that combine sand filtration, carbon filtration, and iron removal into a coordinated system sized for consistent flow and backwash scheduling.

🏜️ PSF Media LayersTop: Fine Sand 0.5mm → Mid: Coarse Sand 1.2mm → Base: Gravel 5-8mm. Depth engineered per turbidity. Typical life: 3-5 years due to compaction / bio fouling.
⚫ ACF Media LifeShorter life — adsorption capacity consumed, must replace or thermally reactivate once exhausted. Chlorine breakthrough monitored in AMC.
🧲 IRF ProcessAeration + oxidation converts Fe²⁺ → Fe³⁺, then filter media traps it. No chemical dosing in most cases. Must before RO / softener.
💰 Cost-Effective InvestmentProper pretreatment sizing is most cost-effective — directly extends life of far more expensive RO membranes and ion-exchange resin.

We design coordinated system sized for consistent flow and backwash scheduling, rather than selling disconnected components that don't work well together.

⚙️ BACKWASH VALVES

Manual vs Automatic Backwash Valves

Backwash frequency depends on raw water turbidity and flow rate, typically daily to few times per week.

  • M
Manual Multiport: Lower cost, suited to smaller installations where operator can reliably perform backwash on schedule
  • A
Automatic: Timer-based or differential-pressure-triggered — better for larger / continuous operations where missed cycle = risk
💰 ROI

Why Proper Sizing Saves Lakhs

  • ₹
Undersized PSF = more backwash = high water waste + poor TSS removal = RO fouling
  • ₹
Oversized = wasted capital + low velocity = poor backwash cleaning
  • ✓
Right sizing from water test = 2-3x RO life, resin protection, consistent flow
